Pull the tool firmly from the black protective clip to reveal the blade. Hold the seatbelt tight, then slice through it at a 45-degree angle for the cleanest cut.

Use the metal tip to strike firmly against the corner of a side car window in an emergency. The corners are usually the weakest point, so aim there rather than the centre of the glass.
